Voice data, specifically
When you start a session your microphone audio is streamed to our voice provider, ElevenLabs, Inc., which transcribes it and generates the character's reply in real time. The audio and transcript are stored under our account with ElevenLabs and the transcript is copied to our own database so Coach can score you and you can see your history.
- No voiceprints. We do not create a biometric template of your voice, use your voice to identify you, or use it to train or clone voices. Nobody else's voice is cloned either — every character is a licensed synthetic voice.
- Explicit consent. You are asked to consent, in writing, before your first session. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us; we'll delete your recordings and stop your sessions.
- Retention. Recordings and transcripts are deleted no later than 12 months after the session, or within 30 days of a deletion request, whichever is first.
- Illinois, Texas and Washington residents: we treat your audio as biometric-adjacent information under BIPA, CUBI and RCW 19.375, obtain your written consent before collection, do not sell or profit from it, and apply the retention schedule above.
Who sees it
- You. Your scores, transcripts and history are visible to you in the practice room.
- Your manager or coach, only if you joined through a team, office or coaching-partner plan. They see your scores and transcripts, never raw audio.
- Service providers who process data on our instructions: ElevenLabs (voice), Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), and Anthropic (the language model behind the characters and Coach, which receives the transcript text). Each is bound by contract to use the data only to provide the service.
- Nobody else. We don't sell personal data, we don't run advertising, and we don't share your data with brokerages, associations or anyone you haven't joined through.
Your choices
- Access, correct, export or delete your data by emailing privacy@realedgelabs.com from your account address. We answer within 30 days.
- Delete your account any time; everything except the consent record and anonymised aggregate statistics is removed within 30 days.
- California residents have the rights described in the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct and to not be discriminated against. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined there.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production data is limited to RealEdge Labs staff who need it, with logging. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt by our authentication provider and are never visible to us. If a breach affects your data we will notify you within 72 hours of confirming it.
Children
RepRoom is for working professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; if you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change how we use voice data we'll ask for your consent again before your next session. Other changes are posted here with a new effective date.
